Ms. Ngcobo began using the CASME Pinetown Resource Centre when she was a Physical Science teacher at Vumindaba High School. During her time there, her learners performed exceptionally well in Mathematics and Physical Science, thanks to the use of the science apparatus she loaned to conduct various prescribed experiments.
Now, as the Principal of Imfume Primary School, Ms. Ngcobo continues to pursue her passion for science. She is dedicated to encouraging more learners to study science, especially since her school is in a semi-rural area.
I see a huge opportunity for science, technology and mathematics to be taught and implemented while they are so eager to learn this is why I decided to collaborate with CASME so that these learners will understand science. Bare in mind, our school had no laboratory, no knowledge of laboratory safety rules not to mention the personal protective equipment but nevertheless, a science teacher will always find a way to collaborate….
