Enhancing STEM Education Through Digital Transformation

Team4Tech is a non-profit impact accelerator that specializes in driving positive change through technology and education. Their work revolves around harnessing the power of skilled volunteers, corporate partnerships, and technology solutions to address pressing social and educational challenges in underserved communities worldwide. Team4Tech collaborates with Casme to design and implement innovative programs that enhance learning, advance digital literacy, and promote skill development. By leveraging the expertise of volunteer professionals from the tech industry, Team4Tech empowers Casme to create a sustainable, lasting impact and foster positive change within our communities. In essence, Team4Tech’s mission is to bridge the technology and education divide, making quality education and digital resources more accessible to those who need it most.

Model/Approach Used in Project Implementation:

CASME leverages digital transformation to scale its impact. We aim to digitize our programs, making them accessible to a broader audience, and work collaboratively with government, civil society organizations, and grant makers to achieve this goal. CASME is a member of the National Association of Social Change Entities in Education (NASCEE), emphasizing collaboration and capacity building in the education sector. CASME also adopts a policy of open education resources, ensuring that developed content benefits the broader education sector.

Implementation Period/Duration:

The collaboration implementation period aligns with CASME’s long-term goals for digital transformation and program enhancement spanning 3 – 5 years.

Funding Amount Invested in the Project:

CASME was awarded a $15,000 grant from Team4Tech to support this project for year 1.

Achievements Acquired Since the Project Started:

As part of our strategic project with Zendesk, one prominent idea we are considering is the continuation of our “Design for Impact” initiative, with a specific focus on coding and robotics. Our goal is to establish coding and robotics clubs within schools, aiming to nurture students’ interest in STEM subjects and fields. Simultaneously, these clubs will serve as a platform to enhance teacher proficiency in coding and robotics. This multifaceted approach not only fosters students’ passion for STEM but also empowers educators with the skills and resources to effectively engage with coding and robotics education. By bridging the gap between students and teachers in this technological domain, we aspire to create a dynamic learning environment that propels both students and educators towards a brighter future in STEM.
